Team Design Philosophies
The Upsilon pages will be viewable by the largest possible audience.
Our customers will be able to navigate even if they are unable to see
the graphics.
Download times will be kept as short as possible.
We will only use technologies according to specific needs.
Most of the brothers will be able to maintain the Upsilon webpages.
As HTML standards evolve, we will keep pace with them.
Expectations
from the Web Team
Participation in the Web Team activities are strictly voluntary.
Our family and work has a higher priority than the Upsilon Web Team.
To update pages (that you are responsible for) at least once every
two (2) months even if it is only a spelling correction (some pages will
seldom change, such as the "Terms of Use" page).
To participate in the peer reviews of new pages.
To contribute to the evolution of standards.
Web
Team Change Control Process
The Web Team will utilize change control to minimize the introduction of
less desirable features in our products.
The team will perform a peer review of new pages before being moved
to production. The criteria for review are 1.) adherance to the design
philosophies, and standards 2.) content and 3.) style.
The Webmaster will perform the actual move to production for pages on
www.upsilon.com.
Intellectual
Property Rights
The Web Team respects Intellectual Property Rights. The graphics, sounds
and printed word used at the Upsilon Net are of our own creation; or were
given permission by the originator to use; or believe to be free
or in the public domain. See also the Terms
of Use of the Upsilon Net.
