The entry of Michael Francis E. Sandejas ‘91 is among the 10 finalists of this year’s Cinemalaya filmfest. The entered film project entitled “Tulad ng Dati” centers on the local band scene, as vivified by the “rebirth” of The Dawn. Each finalist will receive a seed grant of P500,000 in order to produce their alternative movies for presentation at the second Cinemalaya filmfest four months from now. Congratulations brod!

The Upsilon Sigma Phi, founded in 1918, is the oldest fraternity in Asia. Based in the University of the Philippines, it has had an unbroken and singular association with the premier state university. There are no chapters outside of UP Diliman and UP Los Banos. The fraternity counts among its ranks, Benigno 'Ninoy' Aquino and former President Ferdinand E. Marcos.
