Edgar C. Gumabon ‘58 receives Years Volunteer award from UNICEF Sweden

Ed Gumabon '58 and Khalid Cruz '99Edgar Credo Gumabon ‘58 last month received a privileged award from UNICEF Sweden. He, together with Helene Wikfalk, received the annual Years Volunteer award for their dedicated work in successfully building up one of Sweden’s most active and dedicated UNICEF-groups. Awarded in accordance with International Volunteers Day, UNICEF-Sweden’s Years Volunteer award is an annual recognition given to a group or individuals who have imparted an important contribution for UNICEF in Sweden. The Upsilon Sigma Phi, founded in 1918, is the oldest fraternity in Asia. Based in the University of the Philippines, it has had an unbroken and singular association with the premier state university. There are no chapters outside of UP Diliman and UP Los Banos.
