Did you know that the acknowledged father of Panagbenga or the Baguio Flower Festival is Atty. Damaso E. Bangaoet Jr. ‘59? Bangaoet suggested the idea of a Baguio Flower Festival to the Board of the John Hay Poro Point Development Corporation 14 years ago. Today, the success of the festival speaks for itself and the wonderful work Bangaoet has done for Baguio City. In the photo is Brod Dammie during the Panagbenga 2009 Flower Float Parade held last Sunday.
Did you know that Bangaoet was also the founding president of the UP Junior Marketing Association (UP JMA) in 1958?

And God said… “It is not good that man should be alone.” –Genesis 2:18
Biblical references just got hotter as the UP Junior Marketing Association and Astring-o-sol Ice Extreme, in cooperation with Upsilon Sigma Phi and Infinit, threw one of the wildest speed dating parties the Astring-O-Sol Inter-collegiate Event Mounting Competition has ever seen last October 3 at the A.Venue Events Hall, Makati City. UP JMA as the defending champion and leading finalist, came up with After Eden as its ground-breaking event concept made especially this year for Astring-o-sol.
Before embarking on their quest to find their Adams & Eves and reliving the original sin, guests gargled with Astring-O-Sol Ice Extreme to give them confidence soooo long lasting, people can’t get enough of them!
The bar of bountiful drinks was appropriately disguised under The Ancient Tree of Eden, the one believed to bear that sinful apple, right in the middle of JMA’s Eden. And all the sexy girls dancing on top of the bar as the drinks were being served nonstop just made the tree (and After Eden) extra sinful.
